All pack leader changes are governed by GiANT’s Guide Agreement & Policies & Procedures.
(Note: All Guides are required to acknowledge they have reviewed these documents, along with the Compensation Plan, before using GiANT OS.)
To protect the integrity of all packs and safeguard the hard work of all Guides, we strongly discourage changes in pack leadership.
Because any pack change affects a number of people (both financially and relationally) a change of pack leadership from one pack leader to another is rarely permitted.
The following outlines the process for those requesting a Pack Leader change.
Step 1: Guide reaches out to HQ about potential Pack Change Request.
You can do this via Slack DM with a member of GiANT HQ or by email to support@giant.tv
Step 2: Guide sets up a call with GiANT HQ to discuss the request.
If the issue is resolved on the call, no further action is needed.
If the issue is NOT resolved, HQ refers Guide to the details of this Pack Change Procedures website.
The next step is that the Guide must talk with their current Pack Leader in the spirit of Support / Challenge.
Step 3: Guide reaches out to setup call with Current Pack Leader.
GiANT values the principle of "Going to the Source" and fighting for each other's highest possible good.
Guide must connect with their Pack Leader to have this conversation first before proceeding any further.
Guide must share reason for Pack change request and give good faith effort to resolve any issues.
If issues remain unresolved, then Guide can move onto the next step.
Step 4: Guide Submits Pack Change Application (click button) to make an official Pack Change Request.
HQ Reviews application and asks for 5 days to process, reach out to Current Pack leader and circle back to Guide.
The goal is to first encourage Guide and Pack leader to discuss and workout any issues in a Liberating way.
Step 5: Guide must meet with, and obtain approval from, their immediate Pack Leader AND the two Leaders above them in order to be released from the Pack to move to another.
In total, that represents the three Pack Leaders above the Guide (including their immediate Pack Leader).
At each level of Pack Leader, the Guide must either gain approval to move packs, or else appeal to the next leader in line to help facilitate a resolution.
If the Guide meets with each of the three Pack leaders and gains the approval of all three to move Packs (or else agree to another solution), then that agreement will be enforced or the move to another Pack facilitated, by GiANT HQ.
However, if the Guide fails to gain approval (or a suitable solution to their complaint) from ANY ONE of the THREE Pack Leaders above them (and attempts at a facilitated agreement by the other Pack Leaders fails to result in a mutual agreement), then the Guide can appeal to GiANT HQ to help facilitate a dialogue and try to find a resolution between them.
Step 6: Guide will schedule a meeting with GiANT HQ and all three levels of Pack Leaders above them to try to facilitate a mutual agreement to move Packs, or find another solution.
GiANT HQ will attempt to facilitate approval of the move by all three levels of Pack Leaders, or else an alternative solution to satisfy the complaints of all involved.
However, if such facilitation fails and all 3 Pack Leaders do NOT approve the move, or an alternative resolution, then GiANT HQ cannot complete the move.
IMPORTANT
GiANT HQ will attempt to facilitate approval of the move by all three levels of Pack Leaders, or else an alternative solution to satisfy the complaints of all involved.
However, if such facilitation fails and all 3 Pack Leaders do NOT approve the move, or an alternative resolution, then GiANT HQ cannot complete the move.
Step 7: Guide is either approved to move to another Pack and can begin the process of moving, or no mutual agreement is reached and then the Guide has a decision to make.
If the issue is resolved on the call, no further action is needed.
If the issue is NOT resolved, HQ refers Guide to the details of this Pack Change Procedures website.
The next step is that the Guide must talk with their current Pack Leader in the spirit of Support / Challenge.
